User Review - 10/10 by LM DFantastic documentary following 94 year old 'Granny D' Doris Haddock as she ran for the senate in New Hampshire in 2004, refusing to accept donations from special interest groups and highlighting the fall of democracy 'for the people' in the US. I hope she's started a trend for the 2008 elections!!!

An amazing, inspiring documentary about how one woman and her family took on the challenge of a lifetime. i just saw the screening at MOMA in NYC and Granny D was actually there along with her family and the director for an audience Q&A. UNBELIEVABLY INSPIRING STORY picked up by HBO, a "dream come true" for the young director, Marlo Poras. Granny D wins my vote. Especially if you plan to run for political office, this is REQUIRED VIEWING on how to run a clean campaign and inspire voters from your opposing party to vote for you in droves. she made me believe in democracy again and the American political system. Wow.
