Leave your thoughts about Room 205.
User ReviewBill RSome people just aren't going to like this film, but I hope those who see it resist whatever temptation they feel to give up on it early on. When matters eventually start to hit the fan (or mirror, in this case), Room 205 is quite capable of pulling off some effective horror-laden moments. The deaths, while not overly gory, are nevertheless presented quite effectively, and there's a strong psychological aspect to the whole story.
User ReviewTTT C(***): Thumbs Up A decent Danish horror film. Better than what I expected.
User ReviewJessica HThis isn't a bad movie but it isn't real great either. It is obviously dubbed which would have improved the movie a lot. The voices they use sound so non descriptive and staged. The story is relatively predictable but has a few good scares in it. The love the goodies - kill the baddies is alive and well in this film. The lead character, Katrine, is so likeable despite the fact that she is a bit awkward to watch. The ending set up well for a sequel.
User Reviewmirabella 1Well made vengeful ghost story, where some satisfaction is gained by seeing the ghost mostly kill people who clearly deserve it. The baddies are college students engaged in high-school grade bullying, much like those who killed the girl whose ghost is on a rampage.
User ReviewBrooke FDanish horror film with great sound effects and some scary moments.
User ReviewJason HA Danish-made answer to Japanese horror, complete with creepy, long-haired ghost and stylish direction. Takes a bit to warm up but once the scares come, they come fast and fierce.
User ReviewKathy DWhen you decide to watch a film like 'Room 205', you need to get your expectations clear. The horror genre DOES have a lot of clichés, but what differences does it make if it works? 'Room 205' is not a horror film with tons of blood and ripped off limbs, but a lurking and highly unpleasant horror flick, which gives you everything you need as a horror fan.
User ReviewTatiana .Another interesting film from Denmark, Kollegiet is in the same vein of Alexandre Aja's Mirrors film, or the Korean film that that one is based on Into the Mirror, as it centers around a pale ghostly woman who died in front of her mirror while being raped and electrocuted at her college dorm. Now, a new girl has arrived, taking the place of another person's room who is leaving because of the constant pestering and humiliation he endures from a group of fellow roommates. Soon, the new girl is getting the same treatment by these roommates, not to mention being haunted by the dead girl and she soon starts a relationship with the guy whose room she took (Mikkel Arendt, probably the most appealing character in this film). Overall, the film is very slow-paced, but visually, the filming looked kinda cool. Not sure what style they were using, other than Digital recording. Also, the deaths, though few and far between, actually pack small punches as well as a decent amount of blood. I honestly thought this movie was going to be terrible, but it wasn't bad. A little boring, but not bad.
User ReviewJohn Ja not bad killer avenging spirit movie. Oddly enough it's the lighting the really makes this one stand out.
User ReviewRussell GDull Danish ghost story. All the cliches are on display here, and all it really did was make me appreciate "Paranormal Activity" all the more. The piss poor dubbing probably didn't help either. I've lost faith in "Ghost House" releasing good movies with this one.
