| User ReviewSV GHere is a great little gem I had never known about before. What a wonderful surprise. A very unique film from 1988 - starring Burt Lancaster who gives a perfect and beautiful performance. He plays an aging father/grandfather who's family decends upon his home for the weekend to celebrate his birthday. You will see a 5 yr old Macaulay Culkin in this movie as well who is charming and does a suprising great job at such a very very young age. I enjoyed this movie all the way through- but was not prepared for the wink at the end of a very surprise and a bit shocking of an ending. Didn't know if I wanted to laugh or cry as I wasn't believing what I was seeing unfold in front of me. A little unbelievable BUT..it's only a movie..enjoy. |
