Polina lived on the verge of poverty, and it could have ended very tragically if one evening her neighbor, a young businessman Pavel, did not hear a baby's cry from behind an open door. Polina was lying unconscious on the floor. Pavel took patronage over his neighbor and her boys, paid for a nanny, a doctor, and thought up a 'business' for her - she painted wooden figures as presents for Pavel's foreign partners. Such touching concern for a neighbor irritated Petrov's secretary - calculating, purposeful Elena decided long ago to marry her promising handsome boss. But Pavel chose this 'ameba' Polina - Pavel has never thought a rejected woman could be a time bomb. Now he can lose everything: Polina, children, friends, and his business.
