Movie Reviews

TheDivaReview.com - 6/10 by Diva VelezChildish and silly, but perhaps it's the kind of silly that the youngest audience members will enjoy. The rest of us can consider instead the heart and goodwill meant by Rescue Dogs' production.
The Hollywood Reporter - 5/10 by Sheri LindenIf you’re looking for a brilliant talking-animal film, it ain’t this one, babe, but it’ll do — specifically as a lead-in to potential pet adoptions; the filmmakers are partnering with rescue groups for opening-weekend events.
Common Sense Media - 4/10 by Yvonne CondesTalking-dog comedy means well but lacks depth.
Los Angeles Times - 4/10 by Michael RechtshaffenThere just aren't enough rescue dogs in the world to save "Rescue Dogs," a shrill, yappy live-action comedy that proves considerably more annoying than adorable.
Movie Nation - 4/10 by Roger MooreThe acting is Disney Channel broad, the writing is about six drafts shy of having enough laughs. And any message about “who rescued who,” the rescued pet owners’ creed, is lost.
Salt Lake Tribune - 3/10 by Sean P. MeansOne wishes someone had rescued this woeful production before it totally went to the dogs.
User Review - 10/10 by Pamela CGreat movie! Enjoyed it! A fun movie for the whole family. The animals are adorable! I don't know how they get the dogs to act so well!
User Review - 10/10 by Claire KThis was so ridiculously cute! Like the Hamster?!? OMG. Dying.
User Review - 10/10 by Samantha BI don't have kids myself, but I went in support of my local rescue and brought my niece. She seemed to really enjoy it and was really concerned when the main dog ran away and the guy was looking for him. I thought she was going to cry and I'd have to take her out into the lobby (she's 3), but all went well. She was giggling up a storm over the farting sequence. Adorable. I love anything anything that makes that sweet girl laugh.
User Review - 10/10 by Aaron GYeah, I kind of have to agree with everyone else on here. The critics are being way too harsh. It's a family film, with a good message, and kids love it. I can't think of any other movie that has actually RESCUED dogs through the release of a film. I am team Rescue Dogs all the way.
