| User ReviewJames HEnjoyable entry in the Dr. Christian series of the late 1930's and early 1940's. Jean Hersholt is ideally cast. Well acted, good supporting cast, harmless fun. It's not one of the best entries in the series, but it's still good. |
| User ReviewKevin M. WAn 'B' or 'C' movie whose low aspirations revolve around the studio's pandering to people from small towns. "Isn't small town life great?" "People are so genuine there!" "Life was better there!" Yada, yada, yada. Expect "hokey" delivered in large, frozen lumps. What happens is that some big city sharpsters arrive in town and try to suggest that some old, worthless land outside of town is actually an oil strike waiting to happen, and the townsfolk lose it lusting over champange wishes and cavier dreams. Will they stop their liquid gold anxiety and ever listen to the down-to-earth doctor's advice? |
