The A.V. ClubSean O'NealA film becomes a comfort-food favorite because it moves along briskly, has a few solid gags, and maintains a distinct yet uniformly agreeable tone throughout. And the more memorably high-concept its plot, the better. Real Men falls squarely within this category.
Reel Film ReviewsDavid Nusair...an almost epically terrible misfire that's deservedly been forgotten in the years since its 1987 release.
User ReviewRobert CAwesome '80s comedy! John Ritter at his best!

User Reviewp bA great GREAT classic. They just don't make movies like this any more.
User ReviewRobin MA highly-underrated comedy with some awesome high-jinks, some Cold War absurdity, and the most awesome index finger in the universe. I don't care what Shoe says, this movie is hilarious. And still way better than Tropic Thunder.
User Reviewsteven sAbsolutely on my top ten movies of the 80s. John Ritter and Jim belushi make a perfect pair. My brother and I would rent this tape about every other weekend, he'd have a six pack of bud, me a 4 pack of bartles and James. Silly, yes, but very entertaining. Great one liners. Definitely a work of art. "did you think about how I'd feel after I came back from taking MY leak?". "A@@holes walking around dressed like that are just asking to be shot ". RIP John Ritter.
User ReviewRyan VAmazing movie and a great plot. I enjoyed every minute of it.
