Hollywood Reporter - 8/10 by Justin LoweAshley Benson gives a striking performance as the target of an anonymous hacker in Branden Kramer’s ingenious debut feature.
Moveable Fest - 7/10 by Stephen SaitoThe film still impressively manages to get under the skin without feeling exploitative‎.
BlakeCrane.com - 7/10 by Blake CraneRatter keeps its story contained to a simple, increasingly uncomfortable case of online prowling that manifests itself in a real, panic-inducing way.
User Review - 10/10 by Dan FUnique and terrifying. You'll never feel alone again! And if your computer's camera isn't covered now, it will be after you see this film. Highly recommended.
User Review - 10/10 by Victoria CFucking incredible! Watching this as a single female living alone in NYC with the perspective offered was unparalleled. I felt like I needed to disconnect from my technology immediately. It felt so real watching this movie and Ashley Benson killed her role.
User Review - 10/10 by Juan Sthis movie is really good not a bad movie
User Review - 10/10 by Mickey HThe moment I saw Ratter on Amazon for sale, it drew me in. Rarely do I look at the horror movies they recommend for me as I own all or most of them anyway. But I love Cyber Horror. All you need is a computer and a phone and you too can be the victim (or the villain). Ratter is one of those rare horror films that actually scared me. Ratter CAN happen. Ratter DOES happen. They could have slapped Based on a True Story and I wouldn't have doubted them. My only problem with Ratter was that it was too realistic. The acting wasn't great but it wasn't poor. It was like how people are in real life. The film plays itself as if you are watching what the Ratter is watching. I don't normally feel for the victims, most of the time, I'm on the villains side. But I felt so scared, so frustrated, so wanting to help Emma, to warn Emma. Emma and myself probably wouldn't be friends, but man, did I feel the need to warn her of what was happening. I felt violated for her. I lost trust of those she trusted. Give it a shot. You won't be disappointed.
User Review - 10/10 by Danielle PCleverly filmed using only the wii, cell phone and the laptop cam. Super creepy and really good!!!
User Review - 10/10 by Christopher WI am a major supporter of indie films, and this one is one to see. I love the innovative ideas new directors are coming up with today to make new films, and this movie was shot and portrayed in a way I have never seen. A great physiological thriller, more so than a drama, that portrays the potential horrific realities of modern technology. Ratter does not attempt to teach you a lesson, or lecture you, merely share some true reality of horror and technology.
User Review - 8/10 by Gman HAbsolutely terrifying. In an age of over-sharing, this will really make you think, even shudder about how much access total strangers have to our lives. The build-up is just as scary as the final scenes and had me checking my closet, doors and looking at the tiny built-in camera's in my laptop and phone for a good while afterwards.
