The awesome locations include Scotland, Canada, and Kenya, and the impressive makeup earned an Academy Award. |

If you're into realistic (as realistic as modern man can account for) portrayals of prehistoric times, as opposed to shit like 10,000 BC, then check this movie out asap! |

A simplistic story causes the film to sag a fair bit in the middle, but the performances are fascinating and Ron Perlman in particular is a hoot. One for the film buffs. |
