Cinema SignalsJules BrennerA pushy piece of work worth the withdrawal when it's over.
Antagony & EcstasyTim BraytonPushes the admittedly tiny "life and times of bedraggled men in the drug industry" subgenre to a place that it had never before gone and will likely not return.
Lessons of DarknessNick SchagerExpands [the trilogy's] overarching vision of underworld nastiness, the universal yearning for escape, and the cruel hand of fate.
rec.arts.movies.reviewsLouis ProyectFinal installment in a trilogy about Copenhagen drug dealers. Sardonic comedy in the "Goodfellas" vein.
User ReviewAbigail GVery disturbing. Loved every minute of it. Why can't American movies be like this? One of the few trilogies where each one's better than the last.
User ReviewPeter TThe best in the series... Again, simple filming techniques and excellent performances. Great scenes... Kung of Copenhagen!
User ReviewAaron &Milo is your god. You must worship him. Well, no. But he is clearly as fascinating a lead as Tonny from part two. Zlatko Buric is a such a chilling villain in part one because it's such an about face. In the beginning, when Frank's doing good business with him, his Milo presents a charming, almost fatherly figure. But when Frank borrows from him, gets a run of bad luck and can't pay up, Milo puts the the screws to him in the worst way. And that's a horror we can all relate to, and from both perspectives: the horror of a friend turning on us when it suits him, and the necessity of turning on a friend when it is what we have to do. Part 3 lets us into that second perspective, into Milo's world. The plot mirrors aspects of the stories from the first two films. Like Frank, Milo finds himself under the ax when a deal goes awry and he can't pay his suppliers. and Like Tonny, he sees in his circumstances a shot of redemption, a chance of becoming a better man. But Milo's curse is that he can only bring himself to do the smart thing, to look out for #1 no matter how brutal he has to be. And what's worse is, in the end he knows his days are numbered. His trade is all he knows, and as he grows older, he will grow weaker and his friends will grow fewer. There is doom in his future.
User ReviewJP NMaybe my favorite of the series a must see for someone lookin for a real dark one
User ReviewMike S(****): Thumbs Up This final part in the trilogy is one great film. I was truly involved and stayed with it throughout all of its uncomfortable brutality because it was so well-written and acted.
User ReviewDavid HThe Fuliminous Final of the Triology this is the Perfection of the Gangster Movie bounding and disturbing Scenes full of Brutality reflects with a Celebrating Family that is this was The Sopranos tried and failed and it is so realistic and full of Black Comedy i laughed my Head off when he poison his own Men with his Cooking the only other Thing Pusher is Similar is Breaking Bad and i hope Nicolas Winding Refn make more of this Films or even a Series this could run endless like the Old Western Series it never get boring that's the Way of Going and the Naked Reality in nearly every Country of the World a Suspekt Underworld rumors behind every Society where a Friendly Atmosphere can change into the Naked Horror. The Slaugther Scene at the End was totally disturbing even stengeted trough the Pace of the Very Last Scene. Milo is a Interessting Character a Man who decide that the best for his Career and his Family is to Deal with Drugs and this make his Life very complicated but he must stand this Things and the Time hardended him up he is Not a Bad Person the Happenings force him to do this Things i bring it to the Point the Goverment force him to this Life in a State-Free Society he would be a Rescpecated Business Man. Radoban was a Interessting Character too a Man who waked up and let his Criminal Life behind him and develop to a Sober Happy Citizen but for his Friend he slaughter 2 Corpses just as it was throw some Package
