Movie Reviews

TheLoop21.com - 10/10 by Kam WilliamsNew York City as a disturbing dystopia where it's hard out there not just for a pimp, but for an African scam artist, too!
Film School Rejects - 9/10 by Robert LevinIn the grand neo-realist tradition, the film offers a naturalistic, slow burn rendition of the hassles, heartaches and rewards of the salesman's hand-to-mouth existence.
BET.com - 9/10 by Clay CaneMaybe if you aren't familiar with the world 'Prince of Broadway' depicts then this might seem 'real,' but in truth, it was pushed. Furthermore, I haven't heard the n-word used so much since 'Roots.'
San Francisco Chronicle - 8/10 by David LewisDirector Sean Baker's fascinating, impossible-to-categorize film relies on handheld cameras, improvised dialogue, jump cuts and a very photogenic arena, the city's wholesale fashion district.
rec.arts.movies.reviews - 8/10 by Louis ProyectBrilliant neorealist, improvisatory film using non-professionals to tell a story about a street hustler and the baby he is forced to look after.
New York Times - 7/10 by Jeannette CatsoulisThe movie is sharp, charismatic and so light on its feet we never know which way it will turn.
Film Threat - 6/10 by Eric CamposPerhaps the shiniest indie gem I've found this year so far.
User Review - 10/10 by Riyad FFor parents hoping their children might begin a Hollywood career early, a close viewing of this movie is recommended. Watching Prince react to the world and people around him is such a delight. This movie is hilarious and heart-warming, please watch it.
User Review - 10/10 by Cindi LEssential viewing for NYC residents or visitors. A rich story of honor (and gender perspectives sans stereotype) using characters outside the usual Hollywood hegemony.
User Review - 8/10 by Matthew LWatched this for the second time with Joe at BIFF. First time was for the BIFF selection committee... where I gave it a strong recommendation... and was thrilled to see it accepted to the festival.
