Movie Reviews

Blu-ray.com - 9/10 by Brian OrndorfThe production has the means to create appealing chaos and define personality, but Adams doesn't possess the directorial bravery to shake up the norm, content to live up B-movie expectation.
Radio Times - 4/10 by David ParkinsonAdams stages the opening speedboat chase with aplomb, but the shootouts are much more formulaic and rely heavily on the laughable inaccuracy of the gang's adversaries and sassy sharpshooter Jenna Kelly's penchant for skimpy outfits.
Time Out - 4/10 by Tom HuddlestonPrecious Cargo isn’t actually as objectionable as your average petrol-station-bargain-bin thriller, thanks to one or two half-decent lines, a plot that vaguely makes sense and an unexpected dearth of outright misogyny. It’s still pretty rubbish, though.
Empire - 4/10 by Ian FreerPrecious Cargo is a film out of time. In the ’90s it would have been a serviceable DTV alternative when the Van Damme/Jeff Wincott flick was out at Blockbuster. These days it is a lacklustre anachronism. Bruce Willis should really know better.
National Post - 3/10 by Chris KnightSuggests a team trying desperately to crack the formula to create a good movie. So far, they've got the "movie" part down pat.
Toronto Star - 3/10 by Peter HowellThis lazily directed and sloppily written heist non-thriller unspools like one of those amusement park distractions where tourists play at being in a movie.
NOW Toronto - 3/10 by Radheyan SimonpillaiTwo late-80s icons go head-to-head in Precious Cargo: Die Hard's Bruce Willis and Mark-Paul Gosselaar. If that latter name doesn't, um, ring a bell, think Zack Morris. It's the onscreen match absolutely nobody asked for.
RogerEbert.com - 3/10 by Peter SobczynskiYou will be hard-pressed to remember anything about it even only a few minutes after watching it, which should come as a relief to everyone involved with its production.
Guardian - 2/10 by Peter BradshawA straight-to-video nightmare is all that's on offer here.
Total Film - 2/10 by Stephen Kelly[A] contender for blandest heist movie ever made.
