To win possession of the ranches he holds mortgages on, crooked banker Jim Kelton (Tristram Coffin) has his henchmen led by Spike Allen (Joe McGuinn) raid the ranches and stampede the cattle herds thereby ensuring the ranchers can't meet their notes.
