Leave your thoughts about Police Story: Lockdown.
Nerd ReportFred TopelChan looks sufficiently grizzled as Zhong Wen with a buzz cut and more than one Lethal Weapon moment.
Movie MezzanineColin Biggs'Police Story: Lockdown' was supposed to be a star vehicle, but a vehicle that doesn't let its star shine is of no use to anyone.
Examiner.comChris SawinThis is predictable crime thriller fluff that you've come to expect from a deteriorating legend. Police Story: Lockdown isn't entirely awful, but it dilutes what was otherwise a nearly flawless and action packed franchise.
The DissolveScott TobiasLockdown is mostly a humorless bore until the obligatory bloopers and outtakes in the end credits—and even those are drawing from a flat vein, since there’s so little play in the movie.
Slant MagazineChuck BowenThe film's subtitle is apropos, as this is a decidedly locked-down and lead-footed talk-o-rama.
User ReviewAllan Cits nice movies and have a nice story gddd its th best movie
User ReviewRayne FIn the new series vein of Police Story, this is a nice entry. I will admit I personally favor New Police Story (2004), but Police Story: Lockdown (original title, Police Story 2013) was a great experience for me, from start to finish. Great acting, great soundtrack.
User ReviewGeorge CLoved it!! Great return to the serious stuff for JC although nods more to a sequel of Crime Story than the Police Story series. That said, it was still well made, brilliantly executed with fantastic performances. And yes, great action scenes even if brief. Jackies most Hollywood film yet, and they had nothing to do with it!! (Thankfully)
User ReviewJohn OJust like Shinjuku Incident, a great drama by Jackie Chan. Glad he's still around to entertain us fans.
User ReviewStephen SPretty solid. I thought this was going to be horrible, and although a lot of the plot development is convoluted, this ended up being a pretty solid film. I like how the film has somewhat of a frame narrative in attempt to add suspense to the story. At first, you're not sure why any of the hostages were selected, but by the end of the film, you know for sure. I feel that the Police Story films are some of Jackie Chan's best.
