User Review - 10/10 by Json JI've never been fond Of eating lychees but then It's an acquired taste.
User Review - 10/10 by Chimmy MMost important in Ploning's life is Digo (Cedric Amit), a young boy who fancies Ploning as his surrogate mother since his real mother (Eugene Domingo) is permanently disabled. A few days before the town fiesta, Ploning's plan of journeying to Manila to look for Tomas becomes known to the people around her, causing everyone to examine the inherent value of love, pain, and waiting. Shielded from the normal worries and heartaches of most adults by his age, Digo is the most affected of Ploning's planned departure, forcing him to wrestle with those surging emotions using only his meager view on things.
User Review - 8/10 by Gena AThis movie are for those who like art films. Too deep for commercial consumption. Profound story!
User Review - 6/10 by Regie PNow I know why this movie didn't win in the Oscars. There were a lot of missing elements in the movie. Nevertheless, it is one film Filipinos can be proud of. Hopefully, this film will jumpstart the artistry of Filipinos and bring back the glory days of Philippine Cinema.
User Review - 6/10 by Janice PThis would have been a potentially great story, if only the elements were tied coherently together. First up, there's a lot of loose ends that never get resolved in the end, and I was left to scratch my head wondering what really happened. Second, too much of the turning points are done so choppily, and there was just way too much exposition on what was behind Ploning's secrets. But what really killed it for me was the way the climactic reveal was done, it was just too blunt and dry. What a waste as I really thought the setting was so beautiful and truly Filipino. But I have to say I was impressed that the dialogue used was the one they really spoke in Cuyo. But yeah, all in all, I was really unimpressed with this :(
