Leave your thoughts about Other People.
TheFilmFile.comDustin Putman[Sundance 2016] Beautiful in every way, an incisively funny drama accomplishing the Herculean task of eliciting comfort even as it breaks one's heart.
Chicago Sun-TimesRichard RoeperSome movies swing for the fences — and either strike out in big-budget, spectacular fashion, or hit a home run. Others, such as the smart, lovely, funny, occasionally edgy, slightly cynical and ultimately heart-tugging Other People, are the equivalent of the singles hitter in baseball — content to accumulate one small and legitimate successful moment after another.
Chicago TribuneKatie WalshThe moments between mother and son are some of the most intimate and moving of the film.
NerdistDan CaseyWhat elevates Other People to best-of status is its cast, who feel as though they could be long-lost members of your own family or people you knew growing up.
The VergeChris PlanteAcute, specific observations on life with cancer mostly elevate what could have been an overfamiliar tale of self-pity. Other People isn't perfect, but it's deeply personal.
Chicago ReaderJ. R. JonesCancer and coming out aren't exactly fresh topics for an indie film, but here they have the authenticity of lived experience, and both Shannon and Plemons are exceptional.
Aisle SeatMike McGranaghanA funny, honest, and moving slice-of-life film that has an undeniable ring of truth.
SF WeeklySherilyn ConnellyHopefully, Shannon's performance in Other People will be an inspiration to other actors.

Capital Times (Madison, WI)Rob ThomasI feel I need to add the "It's also very funny" to the end of every paragraph of this review so as not to scare anybody away from this wonderful little movie.
