A returning WWII hero is on his way to his home town where he is to receive a medal and $10,000. Before arriving he is stricken with amnesia and falls in with a gang of crooks. They do not realize he is the actual Dan Flannery, and set him up to impersonate himself and get the money. Since he also doesn't know he is himself, he goes for it.... (Full plot summary below)
