User ReviewDonna DTypical revenge makes a huge 180 when it comes back on girls trying to initiate Meg Tilly by making her sleep in a Mausoleum! Will give you the creeps!
User ReviewPrivate UMy guilty little pleasure. Not the best of horror films but one of the most creepy ever. Never let it be said the 80's didn't have good horror films.
User ReviewSenor CThis is right up there with 'THE HORROR STAR" as one of the most underrated fear fests from the 80's...It evokes that very rare creepy atmos that most films nowadays just cannot replicate...As I always say: CGI can never reproduce something real...This film is too real, and will give you the Fright Fix you have been craving (or at least help with the shock of hearing about all the new slew of re-makes..Grrrrrr!) Gorewhore Out...
User ReviewDave GIn order to gain entrance into the high school clique 'The Sisters,' a young girl must spend the night in a mausoleum. 'The Sisters' arrive and plan on scaring her out, but something else in the mausoleum is ready to wreak deadly havoc on all of them. Yes, I know it's PG, but this is one of the best horror movies out there. When I saw this in the theatre, I was 11, and it scared the crap out of me. Years later, when I watch it, it still holds up - the production design and atmosphere for this low-budget film are incredibly effective, as is the eerie music score. You've also got good performances from a then unknown Meg Tilly, Robin Evans, Leslie Speights and Elizabeth 'E.G.' Daily as the gals in jeopardy. It's also a rare example of a horror film that doesn't need graphic violence and gore to scare an audience. From the opening scenes, you know you are in for a morbid and sinister ride. They don't make 'em like this anymore. Oh, and look out for that yellow toothbrush! :)
User ReviewKen Mfor fans who like slow dark and dreary edgar allen poe type movies comes one dark night about a russian psychic who can drain peoples bio energy and use it to move or levitate objects like carrie does 1976, film is well acted and special effects are fairly reasonable for a 1980s movie and has a very creepy gothic atmosphere especially in the mausoleum, mostly appeals to diehard b movie fans but check it out.
User ReviewDC FSuprisingly thrilling and entertaining considering its monsterless premise.
User ReviewLeslie DUsually essential viewing in autumn/October but I was totally in the mood for this last night. Neat little atmospheric Horror with my fave 80s actress Meg Tilly.
User ReviewColm OI saw this movie on its original release in 1983 and it was the only time I've ever seen people run screaming from the cinema... and before you ask, the answer is no, I remained in my seat 'till the end! If you want a really good scare without the blood and guts of most modern 'scary' movies, then try this one out!
User Reviewfaaiz sMay be low budget, but this is pretty scary shit. I saw it when I was a kid, and it was a big mistake.
User ReviewRob PA real gem of obscure 80's horror! Starring Meg Tilly, Adam West, and Elizabeth Daily! Cameos by vintage arcade games and TaB! The finale is visually amazing!
