The story is set in both Hong Kong and the U.S. So goes to the U.S. to open a martial arts school. Around this time, many Chinese people were sold off to U.S. railroad companies, and were brutally treated by the Americans under the harsh working conditions. Thus, the American workers' hatred towards the Chinese immigrants is high. As a result, So gets into trouble with the Americans and the mob, and calls Master Wong for help.... | User ReviewCamille LPour le dernier volet de la saga Wong Fei Hung initiée par Tsui Hark, ce dernier laisse sa place de réalisateur à Sammo Hung pour le retour de Jet Li dans le rôle principal. Si Wong Fei Hung VI est un film beaucoup moins réussi que les trois premiers, il en est le plus proche dans l'esprit, avec ce voyage de Wong Fei Hung, Clubfoot et Tante Yee dans un San Francisco de pacotille, qui voit Jet Li, parfait, confronté à une amnésie, des Indiens et un braqueur de banques pendant que Rosamund Kwan, divine, Power Chan et Xiong Xin Xin se taillent la part du lion dans la comédie. Jouant avec les codes du western, Wong Fei Hung VI est une franche comédie, qui marche assez souvent, mais qui manque aussi cruellement d'enjeux dramatiques. Il était temps pour Wong Fei Hung de prendre sa retraite. |
