Twelve athletes, almost all developed hand in hand with African-Americans in New York street basketball, become the hope of the Puerto Rican people during the Cold War. With Raymond Dalmau, Georgie Torres, Charlie Bermúdez, Nestor Cora, among others, this documentary portrays the influence of Nuyoricans in national basketball. It also states how sport, the diaspora and the complex ways of Puerto Rican identity are intertwined and invite to reflect on what Puerto Rico has become now-days.
