User ReviewJenn S'Not Quite Human' is a family film about a single father who builds a teenage son named Chip. Chip is awkward as he tries to mingle with the real teenage boys, and little does Chip know that there is a plot by a large toy company to kidnap him. The film is packed with action and humour, and you cannot help but to feel sorry for the characters, especially poor Chip as he tries to fit in to society and fails miserably. I have not seen this film in years, but it used to be shown several times on the Disney channel. I think that this film is easy for teenagers to relate to, especially those who are a little bit awkward themselves and bullied at school. It is just a fun film, and it is one that seems to have become lost. The sequel to this film is the 'Not Quite Human II'. In this film, Chip the android is off to university and he finds himself falling in love with Roberta, who happens to be another android female. Like in the first film, there is a kidnapping plot, and one of the only things that I remember about this film is Chip and Roberta running away to try to escape and running into even more problems. Like the first film, there are a lot of jokes and a lot of humour as well as some fast-paced action. I thought that it was a good story, but the original 'Not Quite Human' appealed to me more, probably because I was in High School myself when I saw both films.
User ReviewBrian BMore of the same. There's not a lot that was added to the formula to make this one stand out.
User ReviewRalph RThis film and that actor are both porkskins.
