Full Plot Details

Nate Burns, a former Baltimore city homicide detective, is the new police chief in sleepy Lunacy, Alaska. The job comes with a free room in the 'lodge', the town's multi-purpose inn, pub etcetera run by 'loose' flirter Charlene Galligan. Sole deputy Otto Gruber is among the failed local applicants. Shortly after Nate gets on sensual-bickering terms with Charlene's fickle, estranged daughter, pilot Meg, lost mountaineers find the frozen corps of Meg's dad Pat, missing for 15 years. State police sergeant Coben dubiously claims jurisdiction and flies out the body. Nate soon discovers nothing is as it seems after Lunatic newspaper editor Max Hawbacker is found shot, with a fake suicide PC note 'I killed Pat'. Uncovering more past secret proves dangerous for dogs, Nate and his job.

User Review - 10/10 by Red LThis is my favorite adaptation of a Nora Roberts book. I definitely enjoyed this one, a little mystery, a little romance. Snow. Alaska... Yeah. I really liked this one!
User Review - 10/10 by Jenny TAs a fan of Nora Roberts and the few books i own by her i really found this movie to be very engaging though i don't doubt i'll buy the book and really enjoy it plus the the movie is as if you were reading the book though i loved the relationship between Meg and Nate both characters are different but find unique but common things about each other that strengthen the foundation between them i must admit this story is quite the romance novel i can get into minus a couple murders that connect one individual secret Overall i'd love to read the book and own the DVD Kudos to the cast and special thanks to NOra Roberts

It was quite different from the plot of the book and a lot of hilarious characters (and details!) were missing. Basically, if you're looking for a quasi-romantic movie, you've got it, but if you liked the book, this isn't for you.

Don't expect too much, and you will be surprised by this ordinary thriller with interesting details! The murderer is too easy to guess actually.. But now I'm getting used to Nora Roberts movies/books so I already knew that. It's much better than Angels Fall, but comes not even close to Carolina Moon. I love the romance in it :) Gives it another twist! Superromantic <3 Kind of a recommend though! Good things win from the bad!
