Leave your thoughts about No Retreat, No Surrender.
Under the RadarAustin TrunickCome to No Retreat, No Surrender for the Van Damme-age, but stick around for the wall-to-wall WTFness.
CinapseEd TravisAn objectively bad Karate Kid rip-off, No Retreat, No Surrender manages to never the less entertain and delight with a combination of pure earnestness and legitimately cool fight work.
The New York TimesWalter GoodmanThe karate blows sound good but never seem to make contact. But then nothing else makes contact either. The advice from this corner: Retreat.
Los Angeles TimesPatrick GoldsteinAmateurish clunker whose martial-arts action footage is almost as laughably dismal as its acting.
User ReviewEric LTop 5 of my inspiration movie either u like karate or not!
User ReviewPatti MI liked this one cause he's so bad hmmmm
User ReviewLeil CThis movie is amazing. Van Damme as the evil, one-dimensional Russian Martial Artist, the inexplicable motives of the slick-haired businessmen who are apparently buying up mom and pop karate schools, whether they like it or not. Oh, and the hero is taught to fight by the GHOST OF BRUCE LEE!
User ReviewNour SOne of the best movies I have ever seen..... I have loved this movie since I was a little kid, can't recommend it enough!
User ReviewKajsa FOk so. First of all. You all need to see this movie. My boyfriend watched this when he was six years old back in good ol' South America and he thought it was the motherfucking bomb back then. So we watch it. And oh my God we almost pissed ourselves laughing. It is truly, truly, fucking shitty but oh so hilarious. I have not laughed this much since like... ever. So watch it and die along with me. If not for the hilarity, atleast for the homoerotica and Van Damme.
