In the Sahara desert, a sandstorm batters a deserted drilling station. Thomas "Jack" Jackman a security patrolman, battles through the high winds to find out why all contact with the station has been lost. Originally built for gas exploration, and then abandoned, the site had recently been taken over by a multi-national research team intent on drilling deeper into the earth's crust than ever before.... | User ReviewCharles FI will say one thing about this movie: the trailer does it no justice. It's much better than expected. I don't know what I expected - B-grade rubbish, maybe - but it's actually put together and acted very well. The concept is original, which counts for something, and it's fun to watch. It's not as deep or profound as several critics pointed out; it's purely entertainment. In this respect and the fact that the concept is indeed "fresh", Nine Miles Down may well be worth your time. |
