Sub îndrumarea Julius, o veveri??-zbur?toare a c?rei în?elepciune nu este întrecut? decît de lipsa-i de îndemnare, Niko încearc? s? ia lec?ii de zbor, fiecare dintre ele avînd un final previzibil: proptirea botului s?u în z?pad?. User Review - 10/10 by Paul GIf you want to see real family issues solved how they must to be solved, without pretending they don't exist, without turning them into an unrealistic "happy end", you may like this movie. Considering the movie's low ratings, I expected a silly predictable story with poor animation. I was pleasantly surprised it's not! Sure, if you're spoiled by Disney's animation, you'll notice it's not as perfect, but I watch movies not for their special effects. And let's be fair, it's good enough for today's standards. The story is good. There're a few clumsy moments which adult audience may find silly, but the story is far from being trivial and the characters aren't flat. When Niko, the main character, finds out not all dads are good for a family, does his dad magically turn into a perfect daddy after a few lectures? No. It doesn't work like this and he has to find a real solution, without Christmas and Santa doing everything magically for him. The movie may be a Christmas movie, but the setting doesn't really matter. It's not about Christmas at all. It's about family.

User Review - 10/10 by John RI completely fell in love with this movie! The style of animation was absolutely gorgeous, it had a great story line and the characters had a lot of depth. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who has a love for great children's movies and animation :) Niko is gorgeous!

User Review - 8/10 by J DI was impressed with this Finland-made film. The story is very original with original characters. (Give or take Niko's "girl" friend, which is common) Also, this is one of the first animated Christmas movies that show reindeer as actual reindeer and not whitetail or mule. It is beautifully animated, and the design of the characters fit their roles in the story. A lot of people complain about what the story is about. Turns out one of Santa's reindeer (not saying who) "visited" Niko's mother one night and got her pregnant. So Niko tries to make his way to "Santa's fell" (he already lives in the north pole) to try to find his real father. I understand why this is a problem to some people, but that's real life. It's not like every other CGI animated feature is completely clean. (Looking at you "Surf's Up" and "Ice Age 3") People need to stop complaining and enjoy the film as it is. It's pretty simple, but kid's can't hold a lot of attention to details so it plays nicely. It would've recieved a lower rating if American made but not over the top perverted (again, looking at you "Surf's Up" and Ice Age 3")
