IGNBrandon CiampagliaEverything about this "movie" is a joke. What really pisses us off is the fact that: a) Ben is now white (yes, white!); b) there are people doing drugs; and c) there's a sex scene! What in the hell? Not making things any better is a simply ridiculous ending that just about abandons all hope for the movie's success.
L.A. WeeklyLuke Y. ThompsonThey do deliver on the gore and nudity fronts, and you don't often see such things in 3-D. The familiar title helps with the marketing, but hurts by inviting comparison with a classic; as a 2-D remake, it wouldn't pass muster. (Tom Savini's 1990 redo is far more respectable.)
Los Angeles TimesMichael OrdonaEven for ultra-low-budget, grade-Z horror movies, this is a truly incompetent film.
VarietyJustin ChangA juiceless quasi-remake of George Romero's 1968 classic that, cardboard glasses aside, brings absolutely nothing new to the party.
User ReviewTheQuietGamerI'm a huge Zombie fan, I love them, you might even say I have an unhealthy obsession. I love just about every Zombie movie I watch except for a few retarded ones, and this one makes the list of ones I don't like, the whole thing has a straight to DVD feel to it, but it somehow made it into theaters. The zombie look like stupidly fake, the writing is awful, and the whole thing is just a waste of time. The original George Romero movie (which this is a remake of) was fantastic and still one of the greatest Zombie movies of all time, this is a stupid attempt at capturing the glory of it, actually I'm not sure this is even attempting to do that, it feels like it's trying to create some kind of horror comedy thing while using the Night of the Living Dead name to trick fans of Romero's infinitely superior work into watching it, the thing is it's not funny or scary, you can't even take the "I'm laughing at it and not with it" approach because all this movie will do is make you groan. There is one good thing I can say about it, and that's that there is a really hot naked chick in it, that's it, and that's not a reason to suffer through this crappy movie. Avoid this crappy Zombie movie, and keep in mind that this is coming from one of the world's biggest Zombie fans who actually enjoys (most) straight to DVD Zombie movie like Night of the Living Dead 4: Rave to the Grave, so if I say you no matter how big of a Zombie fan you are to avoid this movie do yourself a favor and listen.
User ReviewRogerSmith97Why Remake A Classic Horror Movie??? The Movie Had Bad Acting, Not Even One Thrill..
User ReviewCAENTHorrible movie. No scares. No good acting. No plot. No story. We went into the theatre, it was only a group of us 4 and one lady sitting by herself. That should have been a sign not to see it, but we said, "who cares, its 3D right??" No, not really. It is, but majority of the movie is not even filmed in 3D, and the parts that are, are hit or miss. Dont waste your money or time.
User ReviewMovieGuysThis is a dismal, worthless remake of the 1968 classic that should be forgotten. Nothing in this movie is acceptable, and it doesn't even reach "so bad it's good" status.
