Aisle SeatMike McGranaghanSlightly predictable, but also warm and entertaining.
User ReviewVic WReally sweet, albeit predictable, romance with a dash of comedy tossed into the mix. Very appealing and accomplished actors in all parts make this a nice respite from the humdrum world. Burns does just fine as a director.
User ReviewEthan RNot at all your typical 'romantic comedy' Matt Bush plays an extremely emotionally-connected protagonist by the name of Johnny, that in a certain form of subtext becomes 'grounded' by the over-the-top antagonist, Terry, played by Ed Burns. The story is fresh and unique though and is one that isn't 'overused' but has certainly seen it's fare share of use in the romantic comedy world. Regardless the film is a good one, and is certainly worth watching.
User ReviewBrendan NI just enjoy Edward Burns movies, they include real characters and real situations. Matt Bush is a little odd for the lead character and lacks that certain strength. It isn't a bad thing as he is serviceable as Johnny but not great. The rest of the cast is good and the story has that issue that affects everyone at some point in there life. The ending is really uplifting and brilliant, completely worth the time.
User ReviewJude RAn Ed Burns script is always a pleasure. Nice Guy Johnny is straightforward, but totally realistic and grin-generating. You know exactly what's coming up at any given time in the show, but you just have to watch it play out anyway. A must-watch for lovers of dialog-driven movies. I wish I had an Uncle Terry. I WILL be an Uncle Terry.
User ReviewWarren MMore like a better Will Hunting, though not the best
User ReviewJim HIt's a very nice movie, a little bit corny but still interesting.
User ReviewMatthew BA very touching, romantic film. I enjoyed it.
User ReviewJordon JWhat would you do? Go with the fiancé or the free spirited?
User ReviewBrian KShot in 10 days with a crew of 5 and a budget of just $25,000 this is an indie in every sense of the word. In his ninth feature film writer / director Edward Burns muses about love, life, and following your dreams. Unabashedly sweet, charming, and honest.
