| User ReviewSamone C"She's just a girl who loves a boy who loves a boy." Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List is a dramatic yet romantic comedy that's based on a friendship that gets put through tests. Written by Amy Andelson and Emily Meyer, directed by Kristin Hanggi, and starring Victoria Justice and Pierson Fode, starting off in their home where they lived next door to each other their whole lives. The "No Kiss List" was an idea both Naomi and Ely came up with, it's a list filled with boys' names they both find attractive. They decide to not involve themselves with any name on the list for the sake of their friendship. Naomi starts to date a guy named Bruce and things turn sour when Ely falls for him. With helping her mom through her parent's separation, juggling college and a job, she needs her best friend more than ever and he's nowhere to be found. Victoria Justice and Pierson Fode, who played as Naomi and Ely, connection on-screen seemed genuine, like they were best friends in real life. Naomi feelings toward Ely seemed stronger than just friends, as if she wanted to date him, which made the movie more realistic because that's a common situation. Watching this movie, I was just as sad as Naomi when she was betrayed by her best friend. You wouldn't expect someone you hold dearest to your heart to betray you in that type of way. I felt the hurt, anger, and sadness right along with her as if I was going through the same thing. Victoria and Pierson brought this movie to life and pulled out my emotions. |
