She tells him of her experience in Russia and tells him she will have her revenge. Sascha realizes she is the girl he and his friends mistreated. She recognizes Nicholas, a friend of Sascha, and swears she will kill him. Sascha then confesses he was the man who did her wrong Nicholas and Sascha go to war and when peace comes, the revolutionists are in power and Sascha has to flee Russia. He becomes a waiter in Vienna where he again meets Helene.
