AV ClubGwen IhnatMy Little Pony: Equestria Girls continues the appeal of Friendship Is Magic, as the heartening lessons of Ponyville—on friendship, leadership, morality, etc.—transcend its equine-dominated world.
Black Nerd ComedyAndre MeadowsAt the end of the day, this is still a show for kids. There are elements that you can enjoy as an adult, but it's still for kids...If you love My Little Pony, you'll love this film.

User ReviewScootaloo TAbsolutely fantastic. The staff did an amazing job of taking something a LOT of people were unhappy about and turning it into something amazing. Great job on their part. For anyone who's a fan of the show, you won't want to miss this movie!
User ReviewKevin RA very interesting take on the MLP series. Just as enjoyable as any of the MLP episodes with many humorous moments.
User ReviewDuncan PNaturally as a fan of the show, I can't really objectively assess this, but then, on the other hand, I wouldn't be watching this were I not. Manages to successfully meld the quintessential essence of "Friendship is Magic" (yes, that includes some of the friendship-moral cheesiness) with a touch of the attitude of "Glee" towards high school, ultimately providing a sort-of hyper-positive interpretation of a typically American high schooling experience, with a number of typically catchy songs one gets from Ingram (especially the song commonly known as the 'cafeteria song' - I believe the actual title thereof is "Equestria Girls") Highly enjoyable and, in my humble opinion, a worthy addition to the canon, having successfully made a Pony movie in a new, semi-familiar setting. Also, plenty of fanservice in there for your hardcore bronies - cameos, in-jokes, and a few slightly more anime-fanservice-inspired prods too.
User ReviewChristopher BThis is one of the best animated movies of the year 2013!
User ReviewJeremy CObviously my opinion is rather biased because I'm a fairly hardcore brony ;) But this film is seriously amazing. I was honestly worried about what it would turn out to be like, but I was very pleased with everything about it! Great story-line that kept me interested throughout and, as always, the characters are all so lovable and cute! A must-watch for any My Little Pony fans!
User ReviewKeira Momo FClearly I am not the target demographic for this movie, but I can recognize a clever story and great characters, and this movie has both.
