Eye for FilmJennie KermodeIt's a visionary work that bespeaks a rare talent, and a token, one hopes, of exciting things to come.
StarburstJohn TownsendA stylish, violent and engaging thriller that draws on the best of Tarantino, and with nods to Tony Scott's True Romance, My Father Die is one to seek out as soon as possible.
New York TimesJeannette CatsoulisBathed in a funk of testosterone, and heaving with homophobia and misogyny, My Father Die is a trashy jewel.
Hollywood ReporterFrank ScheckVisually stunning but strained by pretentious poeticism and a simplistic storyline, My Father Die is ultimately as labored as its ungrammatical title.
User ReviewPhil SVery different, beautifully shot. Struggled with the tone to be honest... One minute very dark, serious and thoughtful, the next comic book like and ridiculous... But still, very compelling.

User ReviewIan CThis had all the foundations for an excellent revenge flick. The act in question was a textbook call for vigilante justice and it is set in a seedy Hillbilly wonderland. Sadly. It didn't take advantage of all the joys that come with Redneck life and apart from a gimp slapping the stomach off himself while slashing his chest it just wasn't sleazy enough. The villain thinks he's a T-800 and although it has some good stuff going and is stylish, it is just a bland story that plays out with echoes of Blue Ruin and The Great Silence.
