User ReviewRay JMy dear movie viewers, now this is a comedy. Hilarious and perfect timing for the jokes.
User ReviewRazvan Florentin PYou know how it will end just by reading the title, but this is a funny and entertaining movie with a great cast, so it's worth seeing.
User ReviewPaul DWhile the comedy won't have you in stitches, it is good enough to be able to enjoy this stage play like romance. Loraine Day and Kirk Douglas bounce off each other well and Keenan Wynn fills the gaps with some good one-liners.
User ReviewKathryn NThe two leads, Kirk Douglas and Laraine Day really lift this standard and predictable romantic comedy. There is also a great supporting cast. Keenan Wynn is at his best, Helen Walker, Rudy Vallee and Florence Bates all shine. Enjoyable fluff.
User ReviewKevin M. WKirk Douglas as a womanizing author of romance novels, who's field of play is his own apartment where he woos the latest batch of secretaries he "hires" as he creates his next book. Keenan Wynn has the impossible task as Douglas' best friend and ... umm, comic relief, maybe. Laraine Day has the impossible task of selling us that she doesn't mind the out-of-control woman hating in this feature. No doubt this can be seen as some sort of cultural curiosity, or under-the-table commentary, but I didn't like it.
