Washington PostAnn HornadayWhat starts as a taut urban crime drama quickly sags into lurid after-school-special sentimentality.
New York TimesMatt Zoller SeitzIts earnest tone, moving orchestral score and strong cast carry it past the rough patches.
Kansas City StarRobert W. ButlerHas no shortage of heart, but it has been so clumsily organized and falls back so often on clichéd storytelling that any early goodwill quickly morphs into resentment.
Los Angeles TimesSam AdamsMy Brother is brimming with would-be life lessons. But the movie goes in so many directions, and follows through on so few of them, that all it transmits is a vague glow. It's watered-down chicken soup for the soul.
User ReviewPrincess OThat movie got me in tears half way thru the movie when the older brother was looking back at his memories that he had of his brother and mother.

User ReviewChelsie HThis is an AWESOME movie. I feel like James was a fairly good repersentation of people with developmental disabilities. A person with a developmental disability actually played James and that is one key to get an actualo picture of people with disabilites. The Movie did get confusing at times, but I don't think it was too hard to follow.
