"Munich '72: The Making of Visions of Eight" is a 54-minute documentary about a unique film in cinema history, "Visions of Eight." At the 1972 Munich Olympics, eight renowned international filmmakers - including Milos Forman, John Schlesinger, Arthur Penn and Claude Lelouch - each made a short film about a different aspect of the summer games, focusing more on the poetry of the event than the prose of its results. "Munich '72" goes behind-the-scenes of this one-of-a-kind project, culling from hours of archival footage as well as contemporary interviews with filmmakers, editors, scholars and relatives, to give a full picture of how this cinematic jewel came together.
