eFilmCritic.comDavid CorneliusAny movie with a plot this insane must, by all accounts, be either outrageously stupid or deliciously, self-consciously entertaining. Mansquito is neither.
User ReviewSangduk Sso awesome one of the best sci fi movies made, reminds you of the original star wars...
User ReviewPrivate UFuck that "Mosquitoman" booolshit, Mansquito 4 lyfe. So many quotable lines. Forever/For all time. "HEY! MANSQUITO!"
User ReviewShauna SMy favorite of all the cheesy/campy horror movies.
User ReviewTrinity C"He's more mosquito than man." An entertaining tale of a prisoner who is exposed to a dose of radiation in a lab experimenting with mosquitos and then begins to transform into a giant mosquito. The best way to describe this film is to compare it with the last part of the 1986 remake of The Fly. Some of the special effects are quite good, and if they had spent a bit more time with the convict and what he is going through this could have been a decent film. It gets a solid three stars thanks to a good idea, that line and as always some fun deaths.
User ReviewRose HThe saying "so bad it's good" could have been coined with this movie in mind. I haven't laughed so hard at many movies - it's even better for not being meant to be funny. But I still think it's scary that somewhere, some day, people sat in a room, discussed this script, and said "Yes, we gotta make this!"
User ReviewPaul TSurprisingly above average and fairly gory Sci-Fi Channel movie. The plot (experimental DNA substance splashes onto man, who turns into giant man-eating mosquito, wants to mate with a scientist who got splashed with a smaller amount) is silly but enough to get the ball rolling. The movie never outstays its welcome, and unlike most of these direct to DVD/cable movies doesn't spend half its time following unlikeable characters instead of the gory action. Not high art, but a decently entertaining watch.
User ReviewYannis SGore galore and some good special effects in a standard textbook horror/ scifi plot. Not bad for those who love their ultra- cheapo b-movies
User ReviewTammi SIt's great sci-fi movie to check out on a rainy Sunday.
User ReviewAlexander Zha! They didnt even show the name Mansquito here, ridiculous! Not bad actually, for a low budget B movie. The acting is alright, not so good for Corin i thought. Beginning scenes are well done with the prissoner. but then some obvious animated mosquito-arms, just briefly when changing. but the rest is a very goos suit, probably mechanically adjusted. All to bring an exciting story of which the ending is pretty sure, although she gets some chemicals on her arm too, hmmm... fishy at most points but not bad!
