User ReviewDrew HActing was great and narrative was compelling. Watched this as a kid for the first time and couldn't get past the fact that I was seeing a Play School host in her birthday suit. My childhood ended that day.
User ReviewCat AI really liked this. New found respect gained for Noni Hazelhurst. Worth a look.

User ReviewIlsa LThe 80's setting was a flashback and big cringe. I would have to say the acting was pretty good, but it's a very slight film about a single mum and the men in her life. Nothing overly dramatic happens, it is more emotion driven than exciting. Interesting to see Chrissy Amphlett, though.
User ReviewLouise FA good portrayal of the book although it did gloss over a lot of the detail. Disappointing to learn that most of it was filmed in Sydney....
User ReviewHelena MYeah,..this was good. - a good Aussie flick, set in Melbourne in the early 80's with a young, beautiful Noni Hazlehurst. Her daughter in the film is adorable to watch and steals the scenes she's in. It's based on a book and in the film the music group 'The Divinyls' are part of the story which was great and interesting for history's sake to watch. It's a bit choppy, the editing, but definitely worth seeing if you wanna see old Australian cinema. :-)
User ReviewKen LDon't waste your time seeing it. It is one of the most boring and dreary films I have seen. All the characters are unlikable and unbelievable.
