Movie Reviews

New York Daily News - 8/10 by Elizabeth WeitzmanModest but memorable, the first film from 24-year-old director Tommy Davis follows four Mexican friends as they attempt to sneak into the U.S. by trekking through the Texan desert.
New York Post - 8/10 by V.A. MusettoFails to elicit any substantive information from his (Tommy Davis) subjects. And he fails to put their plight into perspective.
New York Times - 8/10 by Dana StevensMojados: Through the Night manages to capture the danger, fatigue and tedium of an illegal border crossing from Mexico without becoming tedious itself.
TV Guide - 6/10 by Maitland McDonaghDavis' tough, man-of-the-people narration is often annoying, but his words can't diminish the power of his story.
Hollywood Reporter - 5/10 by Frank ScheckBrings a human face to a controversial political issue.
User Review - 8/10 by Yama RA little roughly filmed but a realistic look at the challenges faced by illegal immigrants crossing the border into the US. Worth seeing.
User Review - 6/10 by Ida KThe subtitles went by too quickly at times (and I'm a fast reader). They were also difficult to read when the background was white. I'm against illegal immigration because I see first hand how it is overloading our health care system. That being said, I'm glad the border patrol officers are humane to these poor people when they find them. This documentary does show how difficult it is for Mexicans to make the crossing and some of the hardships they endure.
