User ReviewChrister AA suprisingly good film that I had nerver heard of intill It was showen on SVT the otherwise night. Pernilla August is reallly good here, the script is good, and so is the Taiwan setting.
User ReviewMongky MThose three main characters do their jobs wonderfully. Great performance. The scene that Miss Kicki discovers that her online boyfriend has already got his family was really touch. Really desperate she was. The relationship between mother&son, son&friend, develop, conflict, and resolve in the way they should be properly. The only scene i think unnecessary was the kissing scene. Unreasonable and irrational.
User ReviewRoland JWhen West (Swedish, Scandinavian) meets East (Taiwanese, Chinese). The mother-son awkwardness is a little bit overdone at the beginning; whilst the homoerotic description is a bit loud although which had been largely toned down already. Still, average in general. Predicaments, like the Changs' house scene & the Kicki-Viktor-Didi breakfast at the vacation villa scene, are particularly well handled.
User ReviewEric PI thought the two main actors (Pernilla August and Ludgwig Palmell) were convincing as a dysfunctional family torn apart by the mother's restless, wandering ways and immature relationships she seems to form with all the men around her. But the shallow, unexplored relationship between the son Viktor and Didi made me want to scream at the screenwriter. Why introduce some chemistry between the two characters and leave the motivation and outcome so frustratingly unresolved and unexplored? I felt as manipulated by this cock-tease as the mother's male friends.
User ReviewElin GStarted well, but then it lost it at some point and the ending was too predictable.
User ReviewM Mdesolazione. fa venire una tristezza immane e nient'altro.
