User ReviewMatthew F. JThis is a very well directed and put together documentary about how to live a more meaningful life with less stuff. Minimalism is all about making a lifestyle change by getting rid of things that you don't need, things that do not add value to your life, in order to make room for the things in life that are actually important such as relationships and passions with more freedom and less stress. I am very surprised to see the number of people taking the time to leave bad reviews while completely missing the point. A person does not need to be wealthy in order to make a lifestyle change that adds to the quality their life. Anyone can make that change. I am not wealthy by any means, this laptop is my closest thing to a television, but I found value out of this documentary. "Love people and use things because the opposite never works."
User ReviewYui TI initially sought out this film to actually learn what minimalism is, other than a type of interior decorating popular on social media platforms like Pinterest. To say the least, I was thoroughly surprised at what I discovered about minimal and intentional living. Minimal living is not about focusing on living with less (while that is a goal, it is not the main objective). Minimalism is about living intentionally, bringing things intentionally into your life on the grounds that they add value. If they don't, then they shouldn't be in your life. So yes, this does lead to living with far fewer items than the average person, but it means that you are gaining value from everything that you have. However, at the same time, one must also recognize that while the physical things in are lives may add value, our lives should not be focused on them. As The Minimalists say "Love people, use things. The opposite never works." I 100 percent recommend this documentary to anyone that wants to live a more intentional, and value filled life. Not only am I completely enthralled with the idea of a minimal lifestyle, but I am now a huge fan of Joshua and Ryan (The Minimalists), Colin Wright, and Matt Davella (this documentary's wonderful director) since watching their film.

User ReviewPhilip SMinimalism; I love this perspective! Best documentary! "Love people, use things. The opposite never works."
User ReviewCarlos Felipe FI'm trying to slowly adopt this way of living.
User ReviewMichelle RThought-provoking. I imagine the vast majority of viewers will not enjoy this which ironically are probably the people who will benefit from this documentary. The truth is always a hard pill to swallow.
User ReviewJaaziel AThis film showed that we don't need to exceed on what we get nor have too little but balance everything as we should in life. The message got to me more than clear, great documentary.
User ReviewThi NAlthough there are a few extreme interpretations of the minimalist philosophy, the overall presentation feels well-balanced and sincerely narrated by the many individual contributors. The broader message is not a cookie cutter, but rather an invitation to rethink and re-assess the values that have shaped the culture of superficial materialism, and its impact on society.
