However, none of this prevents the wealthy heiress Beatrix Hohenheubach from falling in love with the cynic. She therefore offers the committed matchmaker Dorothee Wahlberg a proud bonus if she manages to arrange a meeting. With the tongues of angels, Dorothee tries to change her best customer's mind - because the object of desire is Dorothee's neighbor, with whom she has argued every day for years. When the tax office surprisingly demands 24,000 euros from her, Dorothee reluctantly gets to work. The first tentative attempts to get Wieland to cooperate fail miserably. Chance then plays a weapon in her hand in the form of a swapped letter: Wieland leads a piquant double life - under the pseudonym "Belinda Herzog" the cold-tempered author of "Liebeslüge" gives warm relationship advice in a women's magazine. And since "Dr. Jekyll" doesn't want to be outed as "Mrs. Herzog", Wieland grudges his teeth. In order for the not entirely voluntary rendezvous with Beatrix to go as desired, Dorothee first has to explain the basic terms of the relationship between man and woman to the insensitive loner. This leads to complications that Dorothee and Wieland would not have imagined in their wildest dreams.
