He starts leading life in his own way. He falls for Sanjana (Trisha), daughter of an influential local goon Arumuga Chettiyar (Jayaprakash) in Mumbai. A tough cop Prithvi (Arjun) takes charge to end betting scandal in IPL cricket in Mumbai. Arumuga uses his links with dons in Mumbai tries to route through his old theatre, a cash of over Rs 500 crore to be used in betting. Sumanth (Vaibhav), a goon working for Arumuga Chettiyarplans to take away the booty with the help of his friends Ganesh (Ashwin), Mahanth (Mahanth), who owns a bar in Mumbai and Prem (Premji), a IIT graduate. Vinayak joins the race. he promises to help them and divide it between them. Trouble starts after they take away the cash. Both Arumugha Chettiyar and police are now on their heels. Meanwhile, Mahanth and Prem escape with the cash. It all upto Vinayak now. The battle shifts between him and Prithvi.

| User ReviewPraveen NMangaatha - What a great entertainer!! From the first scene of Thala's intro to the last scene of the climax, it is a non-stop roller coaster ride with Venkat Prabu. There may be many loopholes in the screenplay, with all the loose ends seemingly tied together nicely to fit the twist but you will not realize any of it until you are back in the car on your way home. Kudos to VP and team. The sentence "This is my fucking game!!" could not carry a different meaning. It is indeed Thala's and only Thala's game. Ajith + Mass + Simple/Action-Packed Story = A different game - Mankatha da!! |

| User ReviewAditya SMankatha - 8/10 - Ajith's 50th movie certainly has exceeded the hugely speculated expectations it garnered. Like its title, it travels in a racy pace with full of twists and turns presented in a thoroughly entertaining way. Mankatha impresses in technicality with commercialized cinematography and epic BGMs. In overall, no doubt that Mankatha is the finest work of Ajith and Venkat Prabhu till date. |

I was so curious to see the intermission in the first half which was so light and lengthy.. but Venkats game actually starts in the 2nd half with few twists & tease..Ajith not only tries to steal the money, steals his fans attention & was careful tht his 50th movie should not be like vijay's 50th ! End of the Game show.. ppl said it wasn't boring & i feel though its watchable ;) |
