Inspector Haido and his fellows came to visit a mountain for the on-the-spot inspection of a serial killing. However, they do not know that the mountain was a site of a bloody inferno and is called 'HITOKUI YAMA.' As Haido meets Haruko in the village at the bottom of the mountain, his heartless mind gradually warms up for her.
