TV Guide MagazineMichael ScheinfeldAn uneven, but generally well done and entertaining, potpourri of 10 cartoons set to disparate musical styles, ranging from jazz to classical, and performed by such artists as Benny Goodman, The Andrews Sisters, Dinah Shore, and Nelson Eddy.
Antagony & EcstasyTim BraytonOne of the saddest little orphans in the whole of the Disney animated features canon... though the film hits more than it misses over the course of its ten sequences.
The New York TimesBosley CrowtherVivid, motley, ornamental and just-a-bit questionable in spots.
User ReviewCarlos MDoesn't reach the height of Fantasia, but It's fun to watch.
User ReviewAnthony LA lesser-known Disney Classic, but a Disney Classic nonetheless. Make Mine Music is a collection of Musical shorts not unlike Fantasia, only most of the songs here actually have lyrics. So while it left the artists less to the imagination (the songs themselves already have stories), we are given timeless shorts like Peter and the Wolf, The Martins and the Coys (not available on the current DVD release), Johnny Fedora and Alice Blue Bonnet, and so on and so forth. Wonderfully animated and a joy to watch, Make Mine Music is a wonderful film for Disney fans everywhere.

User ReviewDaniel HMy favorite segment in the film is Peter and the Wolf. The narration by Sterling Holloway is pretty clever.
User ReviewDavid KI liked Make Mine Music. I thought all of the segments were well done, and the music was great. It wasn't too different from Fantasia, except a little more low budget.
