They come home and Shweta had the child, who had accepted his new mother unconditionally, be brought home. Unaware to Shweta and Sati, Sati's lawyer was Nirmal, an ex-freedom fighter, her very close but not boyfriend. He was the priest's best friend's son - he had a weakness for her, but for her he was a brother. He frequents the home and Rati starts spreading rumor about them. Sati dies of an heart attack. Rati claims in the court as the sole heir, casting doubts not only on Shweta's character but also on the proof of her marriage with Sati.
