DVDTalk.comDavid CorneliusA mixed bag, with a tremendously engaging first half and a clunky, repetitive, salesman-esque second half... but it's got enough of the goods where it counts.
User ReviewEmmitt JGreat movie, of the history of The World's Greatest superhero.
User ReviewDavid JThis was really fun seeing how Supermancame to be and has evolved over the years!

User ReviewSabrina RA great History of the Man of Steel. A must buy for that Superman Fan
User ReviewMel LAhh, Superman, the bestest superhero there is. Love that guy. And what I thought would be an overly-long promotional doohickey for Superman Returns actually turned out to be REALLY good - even though it's a given that you should like Superman at least a little bit before you take this film on. I learned loads of things I never knew... and kicked myself several times - this was really an "oh, yeah..." movie more than anything else. And I CAN'T believe I never noticed that Annette O'Toole (who plays Martha Kent on Smallville) was the person who played Lana Lang in Superman III... well, it's been a while since I saw that... terrible movie... never mind. I think this might be a record for how many times I've clapped with glee and said "Yay!" during the course of a movie. It's really really really good - if you really really really like Superman - even the very alarming bit on "SuperPup" - good thing that never saw the light of day. Mmm... 6'4", black hair, blue eyes, doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, and tells the truth. My hero.

User ReviewKeoni Ri loved watching this, i learnt so much about superman that i never new before.... e.g superman actually started off as a bald headed badguy in a comic strip named the raign of a super-man.... (lol gud to now)
User ReviewFrank JExcellent. Just about everything you need to know about the history of the "father of superheroes", how he has triumphed and fallen. The historical concerns of him cinematically, T.V. wise and his first run up in the comics medium to the eventual sky rocket as one of the world's most recognized figures of pop culture and one of the most symbolic stitch in the comics medium. And it is presented in such a stylistic fashion. Gives you everything you need to know from interviews to archive footage and is not once boring. One of the most engrossing and fun documentaries I've ever watched and just like the character of Superman has had me whether being glued to the silver screen, or abosrbed by an issue from DC. I like the fact how this movie touched on political issues that concerned America as well as the character of Superman. Plenty to devour on the mythological hero.
User ReviewMax MThe best documentary you will find on The Man of Steel!
