ColliderChase HutchinsonIt isn't swayed by anything other than the truth as it crafts an uncompromising and steadfast deconstruction of whom the artist the world knew as XXXTentacion actually was. Moving beyond the headlines, it emerges as an absolutely essential piece of filmmaking.
The Film StageJohn FinkA documentary that is “authorized” by his estate––which perhaps gives mother Bernard a platform to right his wrongs––the picture smartly never takes the middle ground, but rather provides a kaleidoscopic portrait informed by those that knew him well—family, business partners, mentors, contemporaries.
The PlaylistChristian Gallichio"Look at Me” provides a fascinating overview of Onfroy’s meteoric rise in the music industry, while also broadly touching on the various legal issues, including appalling allegations of abuse, that dogged his career.
User ReviewCameronF305_Beautiful and tragic summary of an interesting deep character. Recommend this watch for anyone who knew him.
User ReviewEnigm8ticThis vi-doc follows the tragic and short life of artist XXXTENTACION & gathers all the complete details and delivers it in a fashion where you could literally follow the man's entire life story, almost to a degree of detail where you could even feel a little connected and/or personal to the artist as if you really knew him in person! This doc really fills in the gaps to people like myself who were always intrigued by the mystery of his entire story & is one of the most comprehensive, well made documentaries that I've ever watched (honestly)! 9/10 Expand
User Review305RecordsVery incredibly well made film, only critiques are that I wish we could’ve heard more from other artists he was close with, and I wish they’d included his philanthropy and charity work that he was doing. I feel like the film focused a bit too hard on the negative but it definitely humanized him.
User ReviewWiggenWell worth watching but you'll get a better insight to X if you search YouTube and listen/watch his interviews. Doesn't really reflect on his rise to fame. Its more about explaining his actions on abuse and just snippets really. There seems like there was quite a lot missed out like his relationship with Jocelyne Flores, or the song he dedicated too her wasn't mentioned once in the "movie" even though its his most streamed song on Spotify.
