Ha-Jung and Soon-na are best friends & students at the same school. However, while Soon-na has a happy and outgoing personality, Ha-Jung is often the target of extreme cruelty at the hands of bullies. After her best friend's strange suicide, the formerly bright and outgoing Soon-na locks herself in her room and becomes a recluse. She refuses to open the door to anyone and acts as if someone is in the room with her. Her personality degrades to the point where her uncle turns to his fiancee, a psychiatrist who specializes in hikikomori, for help. Hikikomori is a term to describe those who shut themselves off from society in reaction to trauma, usually by confining themselves to a room and avoiding human contact. The outcome is terrifying as supernatural occurrences collide with dark family secrets.

User ReviewMs. AInteresting and intense story, though a bit scattered at times.
User ReviewJason BI'll give it some credit for suspense, but then again that just led to confusion. It was very very random, and I wanted to slap Su-na in the face a lot of the time, but... well I won't spoil anything. The poor uncle!! He needs a hug.
User ReviewSandi WThis movie had a pretty strong and interesting start but then really derailed and became something else almost entirely. Notable, though, for being one of the few K-horrors I've seen where a male character becomes as mentally traumatized as the females.
User ReviewIeda MThis could have been a good film but what the actors lost the plot so did the movie is self. The story didnt make sense, the ending was totally random. i think if Oark Jae-sik took the time and thought it through this could have been a great film. i dont get why they always have to kill a girl and get her to come back and haunt the shit out of ppl. saying that, she didnt really come back as the story moved away from the first girl before anything really made sense...then right at the end the story goes back to her.
User ReviewDon SPoorly paced, lacks tension, no scares, and no internal logic leads to confusion galore. This boring Korean "ghost" movie is made so much worse by the most horrible subtitling I've ever run across. Whomever did the subtitles has no notion of sentence structure or grammar, put breaks wherever they wanted instead of where they fall naturally and created an atmosphere of chaos. I had a headache by the time it was over.
