Reel Film ReviewsDavid Nusair...a comprehensive rock 'n roll documentary detailing the rise and fall of the Britpop phenomenon in the 1990s...
User ReviewThe Mighty Modders IA brilliant insight into one of the best periods in time for British music, worth the money just for the genious that is Liam and Noel Gallagher...love it!
User ReviewLogan ZWell thought out history of brit pop with hilarious interviews from themain players. Noel and Liam Gallagher are worth the price alone. Took me back to my student days... However, the posh critic proclaiming how he "nearly wept" on hearing "Roll with it" needs a slap.
User ReviewKen IThis is the movie that made me love Brit Pop on a higher degree. Jarvis Cocker and The Gallagher Brothers steal this movie.
User ReviewDavid TFor anyone who grew up during the hazy days of Britpop (possibly the worst tag of all time) when the drugs and free love came rushing back quicker then the Fishtail Parker...This is the story of your life told by the likes of Liam & Noel, Jarvis and Damon "Cockhead" Alburn to name but afew have there say on the whole scene...this should also come with a Damon health warning sticker...the guy can't be drilled on his music but the bloke is a knob (coming from a fan of Blur) Jarvis is truly outstanding and Liam is well Liam at his best (keep an eye out for his Incredible Hulk speech...priceless) and the extra features have many un-seen interviews and possibly the funniest road trip movie of all time with Oasis tribute band Wonderwall...a must to anyone one's collection.
User ReviewConor MBest music documentary ever. If you like Oasis, Blur, and Pulp, you must see this film. Liam is insufferably hilarious, Damon is pompous and brilliant as ever, and Noel is a bleedin legend! ps: Jarvis Cocker steals it tho!
User ReviewMatthew RNo matter how many times I watch this on the couch with Millson, it just never seems enough. It's even more entertaining to watch it with Liz :-P
User ReviewHenri NProbably the best documentary I have ever seen!
User ReviewPrivate UHighly entertaining documentary, albeit short on in-depth analysis. Provides two things: a nice retrospective encapsulation of the 90's Britpop scene for those who followed the acts of that era at the time, and a good jumping-off point for those whose knowledge of Britpop begins and ends with "wonderwall" and "common people". Lesson learned: Jarvis Cocker is the man, Damon Albarn is world-weary, browbeaten and articulate, and the Gallaghers are characters unto themselves.
User ReviewRafiq UThe best fucking documentary of all time, not only does it have just awesome interviews with the Gallaghers, Damon Albarn, 3D, Jarvis Cocker, etc., but it tells the story of one of my most favourite genres of music, Britpop and just captures everything great about it and England in the time. So well done and so fucking interesting, I love it man!
