Full Plot Details

Michael Dixon is a seasoned agent working linewatch on the US/Mexico Border. Well respected by his peers at US Border Patrol, and well loved by his family (wife Angela and 5 year old daughter Emily), Michael's world is suddenly threatened by secrets from his past. Michael was not always the respectable family man he now has become - he was a vicious Los Angeles gang member who turned his back on the gang and his own brutal ways. But no one can quit the gang, so when a chance encounter leads the gang to Michael in New Mexico, Michael is forced to find a way to protect his family, even if it means helping the psychotic gang leader Drake smuggle a truckload of drugs across the border.

User Review - 10/10 by Clyde LPleasantly surprised with this under-the-radar redemptive gem!!! This well-crafted movie was a quality, well-acted and produced pleasure to watch. The fantastic photography was an extra treat. I expected a "B" move or a political propaganda piece. Instead I found the dialog realistic and hard-hitting, and the acting was superb. This is a dark and serious movie, for mature movie viewers only. I gave this movie 5 stars because it blends my 2 favorite themes: redemptive and vigilante. This movie is NOT for kids, but unlike most movies, it promotes solid "family" values.
User Review - 8/10 by Yousef SSo what if it's just another action film with re-used plots, it is simple to understand and doesn't require a whole lot of improvisation. It did not start off with the proper motivation, but potently evolved quite well. A lot of these films that are Direct to DVD usually have electronic scores, and that is another reason i got reeled in. Jeff McIlwain's composition reminds me why people should be aware of how the music is just as important as the plot and performance. Also I seem to understand films are acted out better when the cast usually are unknowns, making the acting more original than these big budget actors/actresses [Cuba Gooding and Dean Norris are the only big names I recognize] who have these preconceived associations.

User Review - 8/10 by Ethan JSeriously, how many movies has Cuba Gooding Jr. been in lately? Linewatch however makes me forget about that because this movie was great. The plot is extremely creative and intresting on how Cuba's characters' past catches up with him. I also like the usual plot twisits at the end which are seen in a lot of Cuba movies. I really liked this one. Definatley one of my recent favorties.
