Spirituality and Practice - 8/10 by Frederic and Mary Ann BrussatA fresh, gritty, humorous and winning love story.
User Review - 10/10 by Guy KSuperb film - authentic dialogue , albeit the plot line is a bit of a stretch. Alexandra Pigg, the darling of early Brookside.
User Review - 10/10 by Frances Can 80's exstravaganza, fashion music and filming the best of british
User Review - 10/10 by Chris QThe only bad thing about this movie is that whole letter-to- Brezhnev thing. As a fun-yet-gritty atmospheric portrait of love-sick girls in Liverpool in the early 80s, it works brilliantly. The music enhances the experience.
User Review - 10/10 by Lesley GSaw this movie in Japan in the early 80's with an Aussie colleague who needed a translator for the Scouse!! Loved the sharp wit of the women and the reality it represented and the mention of Southport of course Ha! Loved the dream it had to offer...
User Review - 10/10 by Alan DDodgy acting, outweighed by heart and soul. Brilliant
User Review - 8/10 by Benjamin NClass! Dated, and made on a shoestring budget, but this film has a lot of soul! And it's set in Liverpool!
User Review - 8/10 by Kris Cvery funny film it is a classic, very talented lady margi clark pity we dont see her around on the movie or tv screen no more worth watching
User Review - 8/10 by Tara HGritty romance set in dole-stricken 80s Liverpool. Great female leads and northern wit. A surprise hit, and has aged well.
User Review - 8/10 by Brian MThis film is quintessential Liverpool.. A city I lived in once for a year... I like the work of Willy Russell, a bit better then this film, but still this is worth watching, if you can still find it..
